Hadaba Clean Up Campaign – Community Update Help HEPCA to keep Hadaba clean The Hadaba Area Solid Waste Management Scheme is HEPCA’s most recent project; an attempt to work with the community and share the responsibility of managing our environment. We aim to develop a sustainable, efficient, environmentally conscious solid waste management system, which can be used as a model for other areas in and out of the Red Sea. Over the last month, our team has been on the ground removing accumulated garbage pileups – we hope you have noticed a difference already. Now the door to door collection rounds have begun and we need your HELP in order to make this work. HEPCA trucks are currently delivering 120 litre garbage disposal containers to buildings in the Hadaba area at a cost price of EGP150. We predict that each container is sufficient for an average of 3 to 5 households. Please discuss this with the owner of your building and/or your neighbours (if sharing a container) and then take action NOW to protect your neighbourhood and environment by following these simple steps: 1. Call HEPCA on 065-3445035 or email us at info@hepca.com to arrange for the payment and receipt of your garbage disposal container. 2. Place your waste in secured garbage bags. 3. Place your garbage bags in the disposal container provided to your building(s). 4. Ensure your bin is placed in a clearly visible area early in the morning for daily collection rounds from 7 am to 4 pm (times are subject to change as we work to improve efficiency). You can also call or email us to get the latest information about the daily schedule of garbage collection rounds AND to report garbage pileups in your area or any violations. Please note that those disposing garbage outside of the designated disposal containers shall be fined by the Red Sea Governorate in accordance with Law 4/1994. We are relying on you to get involved!
