• Ban on Shanshula and Trawl Fishing: Commercial fishing using these destructive methods is prohibited in the Red Sea, Gulf of Suez, and Aqaba for five years. This ban aims to protect fish populations and allow them to recover from the detrimental effects of these fishing practices.

• Recreational Fishing Halt: All recreational fishing and competitions are suspended for five years, starting May 1st, 2024. This temporary pause aims to minimize the impact of recreational fishing on the Red Sea's ecosystem during a crucial period for fish reproduction.

• Limited Yachting: Pleasure boats are restricted to day trips only during the peak breeding season (April 15th - July 15th, 2024) in the Red Sea, Gulf of Suez, and Aqaba. This measure aims to reduce disturbance to marine life during their most vulnerable reproductive phase.

• Coral Reef Protection: Net fishing on coral reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba is banned. Coral reefs are essential for the health of the Red Sea ecosystem, providing habitat and shelter for a multitude of marine species. Protecting these reefs is crucial for maintaining biodiversity and the overall health of the marine environment.
