Safaga moorings undergo complete “facelift”
In continuation of its founding tradition of installing and maintaining moorings in the Red Sea for the protection of the region’s marine environment and thus contributing to the sustainability of the tourism industry and in response to the need for the continued development of the mooring system in Safaga, the HEPCA mooring team conducted a week long mooring installation trip to Safaga between the 6th and the 10th of March. During this period, 14 new moorings were installed at five different dive sites at and around the Tobia Islands. Routine maintenance was also carried out by HEPCA divers. HEPCA would like to thank Ducks Diving Center in Safaga for their cooperation and assistance. HEPCA urges all red sea dive centers and visitors to report any missing or damaged moorings to mooring@hepca.com.
